I am a father of 3 amazing boys, 2 amazing daughter's in law, and 3 adorably cute grandsons. My grandsons call me "Papa Stevesie" after inspiration from Bill Murray's movie "The life aquatic with Steve Zissou".
I have been a HUGE Star Wars fan since 1977 and it has played a major role in my life with pretend play, collections, and now creating my own props. I also love Zelda, Kirby, and TF2. My Star Wars collection was lacking some things that you could not purchase, so many years ago, I asked for a 3d printer for Fathers Day so I could make the items I wanted to display in my office. Since then, I have made things for friends and friends of friends and it just evolved from there to now having a full print farm.
I ended up finding Etsy was a place where I could sell some things on the side as I continued to work in the mental health field. My sales and demand for my items became so great that I ended up doing this full time.
After over 1 million visits to my Etsy shop, 10's of thousands of sales, and having an average 5 star rating with over 3800 feedback, Etsy chose to send me an email stating that I was permanently suspended because I violated their "weapons policy". Giving me no examples or chance to rectify whatever I did wrong as I fully comply with all Federal and State regulations which are in-line with all of Etsy's policies. I asked for an appeal and within 24 hours, I was sent a generic response saying their decision was final and I would no longer be able to talk with them about this, ending a very productive relationship.
Etsy can obviously do what they want, but they are definitely not the business they once were. They are now allowing mass produced items to be imported and cheaply made items from Temu, AliExpress, and other mass producing outlets to sell on their site. They have lost what makes them unique and valuable to both the seller and the buyer.
So here we are! Still providing great homemade products, now at lower prices since we no longer have to cover their commissions and fees (of up to 37% at times).
I am so exctied you are here and I would love to make something for you! Let me help you achieve your big picture ideas by adding some small touches with my items.
